Hi, I’m Rouven! I have been around dogs for most of my life and had my own dog Yossy for 17 years. He was a much-loved part of our family and sadly passed away. Having him for so many years gave me experience with caring for a dog through different stages of life, from an active young dog to an older dog needing more attention and patience.

Over the years, I have also spent a lot of time with many different dogs, from small and cuddly dogs to large, strong and very active ones. I am comfortable with different personalities, energy levels and needs and I also have experience with older dogs and dogs with health conditions.

Walks are always adapted to the individual dog. A normal walk would usually be around 30 to 60 minutes, but I am very happy to go on longer walks with active dogs or keep things shorter and more relaxed for older dogs or dogs with limited mobility. I enjoy being outdoors, so longer walks are definitely not a problem.

During day care or overnight boarding, I plan my day around the pet and make sure they get plenty of attention, walks and company. I would only leave a dog alone for short periods, normally no more than around two hours, and only if I know from the owner that the dog is comfortable being left alone. Otherwise, I am happy to adapt to the dog's normal routine.

I can also help with medication. I am comfortable giving tablets or capsules, liquid medication and simple topical treatments such as creams or drops, provided the owner explains the dog's normal routine and dosage clearly. For anything more specialised, we can discuss it beforehand.

I know that every dog is different, so I always try to follow their usual routine as closely as possible. That might mean lots of activity and playtime for one dog and simply a calm environment, cuddles and company for another.

I also have experience with cats from having my own cat Murphy, who was also a much-loved part of the family and sadly passed away. While I have less experience specifically as a cat sitter, I am very comfortable around cats and understand that they often need a different kind of care and attention than dogs. I am happy to take care of feeding, litter boxes, playtime, medication if needed and of course keeping them company while respecting their own space and routine.

I am calm, responsible and reliable and I genuinely enjoy having animals around me. I offer dog walking, home visits, day care, overnight stays at my home and house sitting at the owner's home.

I am always happy to meet you and your pet beforehand so that we can go through their routine, personality and any special requirements and make sure everyone feels comfortable before the booking. 🐾
