Hi! I’m Nikki, an American living in Copenhagen, and I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, pets were always part of my family, and my family cat recently celebrated his 18th birthday! Caring for him over the years has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting to the changing needs of senior pets. Whether it’s sticking to a medication schedule, moving at a slower pace, or simply providing extra comfort and attention, I understand that every pet deserves care that’s tailored to them.

When I’m not working as an engineer in Copenhagen, you’ll usually find me outside running, cycling, or exploring the city—or, if I’m lucky, spending time with animals! I’m an active person who genuinely enjoys being outdoors, so I’m always happy to take energetic dogs on long walks, adventures, or trips to the park.

As a teenager, I regularly walked dogs for my neighbors and looked after them while their owners were away, including both daytime visits and overnight stays. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes—from tiny lap dogs to very large breeds—and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, quirks, and routine.

I know that no two pets are alike. Some want to play fetch for hours, while others are happiest curled up on the couch or taking a slow stroll around the neighborhood. Whether your pet is full of energy, a little shy, or enjoying their golden years, I’ll adapt my care to their individual needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

I’m happy to care for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, including senior pets. While I’m not able to host pets in my own apartment, I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and overnight stays in your home. Thanks to my flexible work schedule, I’m often able to visit at times that work best for you and your pet’s routine—whether that’s an early morning walk, a midday check-in, dinner and playtime, or overnight companionship.

During each visit, I’ll make sure your pet has everything they need, including fresh food and water, exercise, playtime, medication if needed, and, of course, plenty of love and attention. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

One thing you can definitely expect is lots of updates! I absolutely love taking photos of pets (the cuter or goofier, the better!), so I’ll happily send you regular pictures and messages throughout my time with them. Whether your dog is proudly carrying a stick twice their size, your cat has squeezed into an impossibly tiny box, or they’re simply looking extra adorable while napping, you’ll get to share in those moments too.

I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and cared for as if they were my own. I’m also always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before a booking so we can get to know each other, answer any questions, and make sure it’s a great fit for both you and your pet.
