Hi there! I've been part of Pawshake since September 2019 and I've managed my profile with a lot of effort, patience and dedication. I was a petsitter back in my home country, Vienna, Copenhagen and now Midtjylland.

I'm Maria, biodiversity expert and forest engineer :) I'm really passionate about animals and love them all, even wanted to study vet but the world had other plans for me. That's why I started offering my services as a side hustle, have over 25 years of experience with different types of pets. I had my own black Labrador for 15 years until she passed away and have taken care of over 70 dogs throughout my life, so I've been on both sides, dog owner and sitter so I am aware of the workload and discipline it takes.

I took courses on dog training, as well as participated in different workshops to broaden my knowledge and be able to offer the best service. I'll listen to your pets' needs and take care of them as if they were mine. I love cuddling and lots of love are definitely included!

I live in a fully fenced 2ha "farm" (only chickens), dogs can roam freely in those 2ha and we also have a big house, with enough space for all dogs to sleep separately. Every second week ish my partner gets his dog, a mix of German shepherd with a Siberian husky, male, not neutered, 4 years old (Sept 2022), gets along very well with other dogs except small ones (they get on his nerves). We recently got a new member in the family, a Great Pyrenees puppy (born in May 2025), she learns very fast but we still need to be careful with her joints and her stamina.

Important information:

House-sitting depending on location.

Bank holidays have a 50% cost increase, other holidays that cost extra are: January 2nd, December 24th, December 31st.

Early or late arrivals will have an extra fee, before 8:30 am on weekends and after 22:00 every day.

Bathing is an extra service.

As according to Pawshake you pet must be able to be alone for periods of time and housetrained. Due to life, periods would be up to 2h. I can do home office if necessary some of the days. Housetrained: if there are behavioural issues during the booking which were not disclosed prior to the start of it, the pet owner or emergency contact shall pick their pet up as soon as possible after being informed of the situation. Pet owner is responsible for cancelling the booking.

Owners cover any expenses regarding broken things and damage to the property, or extra cleaning (f.e. poo, vomit, stains on the floor, carpet, couch), Pawshake doesn't cover that.

Don't do bookings with over a month of anticipation.
