Opie, my loyal companion for 16 years, came with me from the US to Denmark. After losing him, I found comfort in catsitting – and later began fostering for Dyrenes Beskyttelse Århus.

In 2022, I fostered a pair of shy sister cats – Hanne & Helene. After I realized their bond, I adopted them so they'd always be together! When they first came into my care, they were too afraid to come out from under the sofa – they'd just poke their heads out to eat. Now they're lapcats :)

Fostering taught me to recognize each cat's temperment, and to identify whether they need playtime, cuddles, scratches, quiet company, or to just be left alone. I let the cats decide how we spend our time together – and for how long I visit.

I've had some not-so-great catsitters, so I understand that it's important to follow your instructions, use common sense, and be someone you can trust with your cat and your home. I'm also happy to do light housekeeping, like vacuuming and watering plants. And I always send your choice of photos or videos, so you can see that your cat is happy :) 

Note: For short sits of 3 days or less, I charge 100 kr for an initial visit to collect keys, etc. Visits outside of Aarhus C are + 50–100 kr for time & transport.
