Hello, my name is Solvita and I have been living in Denmark for the past 11 years. I have completed my studies here and currently I'm working. In my free time I support other pet owners by looking after their pets and by building a community for pet owners in Vejle. I am passionate about pets and have always been surrounded with them - cats, dogs, rabbits, pet rats, birds. I have also worked in a pet store in Latvia for 1 year as a sales assistant.

Now I have a British Shorthair cat Pufi (6 years old). A very big & lovable cat, he is a bit reserved at start and is afraid of children, but otherwise is a cuddly sweetheart when his trust is gained.

Before getting Pufi I was very concerned how will it be to take a responsibility for a pet in a foreign country where I don’t have any close family members to trust him while I am away, therefore I can relate to all the concerns that one can have when travelling without their beloved pet.

That is the reason why I am on Pawshake - to help others that must travel without their pet 🐾

My main focus groups are cats, rodents or birds, but in some instances it could also be dogs - reach out to me with your situation and we can talk about what's possible.

The rule in Denmark is that a pet left on it's own must be visited minimum 1 x a day and that is my core offering. I would visit your pet in the evening and spend approximately 1 hour together (excluding travelling time). The visit includes - feeding, play time, toilet cleaning, brushing, giving medicine - you will need to introduce me to your routine and I will follow that. We all have our own individual care methods and therefore shortly before your booking starts we will plan a visit where you will onboard me.

I do offer overnight stay too, but that doesn't mean I can be with your pet 24/7. It means that I would go to my work (9-17) or work from your home, depending on my shedule and spend evenings and nights at your home. The sleeping arrangement is organised by the host. This means that I would spend with your pet more time, that is between 5-9 awake hours.

Alternatively, I offer 2 x visits per day (early morning and evening), that is approximately 1 hour per visit which includes any necessary care - feeding, play time, toilet cleaning, brushing, giving medicine etc.

I have my own car and I am flexible travelling around the Vejle city and surroundings. My base location is Urhøj and I am the most flexible for locations where it is possible to park. Don't hesitate to reach out about your situation and I will let you know how can I help. Talk to you soon 🐈🐈‍⬛
