Hi,

My name is Beth and I have had pets most of my 50+ year life. I had dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters and gerbils growing up and, as an adult, just cats. I love pet-sitting for friends and neighbours so I thought why not join Pawshake?!

My motivation is to spend more time with animals, offer a much needed service and to be part of a community that cares for pets. We love our cats and having someone we can truly trust to look after them when we are away is priceless. I want to be that for other families in Berlin.

I have experience mostly with cat-sitting, but I have also done dog-sitting a few times and bunny sitting once. I looked after our friend's dog in our home for a week as well as ten days looking after someone's dog in their home. The bunnies were twice daily visits for a week and cat-sitting is usually twice daily for up to 1-2 weeks. Also, I looked after canaries twice!

I've also been a mother for over 25 years and have worked in childcare professions so I would say I am a natural at care-giving. It feels easy and instinctual to me.

I grew up in the US, but have German and British citizenship. I used to speak Spanish and French, but my low-level German seems to have made those languages worse.
