Hi, I'm Jessica! I'm 42 years old, and have a lifelong experience with animals. I always grew up with cats, dogs, and rabbits at home in rural Canada. I myself have owned cats and birds. For the past 20+ years, I've consistently taken care of pets both in a professional setting as employment, and in a casual setting for friends. I've been dog and cat sitting from east to west in Canada, the US, Mexico, and all over Copenhagen. I was a member of Trusted Housesitters for many years, and also have volunteered on and off in different animal organizations over the years, most recently this Winter taking care of stray cats on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. I've mainly taken care of dogs and cats, but have some experience with smaller pets as well, like degus, turtles, birds, rabbits, chickens, etc. I simply love animals and the warmth and companionship they provide. I believe they deserve to be treated and comforted just as any human does, especially when their owners are away from home. It's very rare that I don't make fast friends with pets, but let's meet and find out if it's a match with yours!

A bit about the services I can provide: I'm unfortunately not in a position to have pets in my home at the moment, but I can certainly provide house visits, and can stay over at your home if needed. I'm fairly flexible in this, and can provide as many days as needed, so let's discuss that when it comes to it! I also work from home, so I can be there for your pets as much as they need. Taking care of your home could also include watering plants and collecting mail et al. I can walk your pets from 30 minutes and up, though I generally tend to give 1-hour walks. I can also provide pet grooming and giving simple medication, but I'm not in a position to provide training. Since I do work from home, my availability is also very flexible, and we could easily arrange a morning, afternoon, or evening session.
